7 posts for 7 days means I'm dumping a million pictures into the blogosphere. You're welcome. I'll be joining Jen and everyone else over at Conversion Diary for a challenge to post 7 posts for 7 days.
Has it really been 6 weeks since we were in California? I. Miss. You.
I felt silly bringing Iggy's winter gear (any of it) but the hat came in handy for his morning walks with his grandpa around the neighborhood while they made sure that all was right in the world before proceeding with their day. The snow suits stayed behind.
I had high hopes for some puzzlin' but I realized pretty quickly that we all needed take advantage of the eighty (yes 80) degree weather. So there were plenty of sunny naps out on the lawn.
We hit up the Los Angeles Arboretum and the Huntington Library, the latter of which is one of my favorite places in the world. Iggy loved being outdoors and I'm pretty sure he's confused as to why we have not seen any of that green stuff in the last month.
Being home was good. It was good to see my family and friends. I miss California, but I'm grateful that we can get away and catch some rays during these dreadfully long winters.
And while I'm bummed that Iggy won't get to see his godparents more often, I'm glad that he does get to spend plenty of quality time with them when we visit (and they do visit!).
I'm looking forward to a much longer visit to the west coast this summer, and I don't think I'm the only one who's excited about a California summer.
